THE SONOMA INTERNATIONAL FILM SOCIETY

The Film Society is comprised of generous individuals in the Sonoma Valley community who believe that the film festival adds an important cultural asset to our community. This philanthropic effort also helps to support the Media Arts Program at the Sonoma Valley High School under the direction of Mr. Peter Hansen. These students produce films that are screened at the Sebastiani Theatre (thank you Roger Rhoten!) during April’s Festival.

The Film Society is also made up of the Board of Directors who are the governing body of the film festival. Collectively, this Board financially supports, shares managerial skills, and establishes the focus and direction of the film festival and the monthly cinema series. We strive to distinguish ourselves amongst the many film festivals that are out there and the Board lends leadership in this regard.
