Inspired by the music scene of the west of Ireland, SONGS FOR AMY is a darkly comedic love story set against the stunning background of County Galway.
Sean O 'Malley (Sean Maguire) is a struggling Galway musician who writes an album for the love of his life, Amy (Lorna Anderson) in the hope of redeeming himself. The album takes him on rollercoaster journey of friendship, love, loss, music, hope and unexpected turns where he is both helped and hindered by his misfit bandmates.
Directed by Konrad Begg and featuring original music by Ultan Conlon, Jim McKee and Alabama 3, SONGS FOR AMY was awarded ‘Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking’ at the 2012 Newport Beach Film Festival.
