A Royal Affair (Danish: En kongelig affære) is a historical drama film directed by Nikolaj Arcel, starring Mads Mikkelsen, Alicia Vikander and Mikkel Følsgaard. The story is set in the 18th century, at the court of the mentally ill King Christian VII of Denmark, and focuses on the romance between the queen and the royal physician Struensee.
The film competed in competition at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival[1] and has been selected as the Danish entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards.

 Film Synopsis: In the early 1970's, Sixto Rodriguez was a Detroit folksinger who had a short-lived recording career with only two well received but non-selling albums. Unknown to Rodriguez, his musical story continued in South Africa where he became a pop music icon and inspiration for generations. Long rumored there to be dead by suicide, a few fans in the 1990s decided to seek out the truth of their hero's fate.
